2 October 2019 – Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) launches its annual Cruise Month this week – a month-long campaign that aims to promote cruising as the preferred holiday style.
Running throughout October, Cruise Month will help reinforce the benefits of booking through a CLIA-accredited travel agent, telling consumers about the additional skills and education that dedicated cruise specialists have invested in.
Consumers can search for knowledgeable and experienced cruise agents based in Asia and accredited by CLIA with the CLIA Travel Agent search on the CLIA Asia website (https://cliaasia.org/). When booking a cruise, consumers can gain expert advice from a travel professional with in-depth knowledge of cruise holidays. CLIA-accredited agents have met the training requirements set out by CLIA, the official representing body of the cruise industry. The CLIA travel agent search tool provides an excellent reference for any consumer looking to book a cruise holiday this season.
CLIA’s members can access new resources available in CLIA’s Cruise Month toolkit, which offers travel agents a wealth of downloadable materials that can be used in their own marketing and social media efforts.
Cruise Month will also celebrate the world’s wider cruise community as part of CLIA’s #WeAreCruise campaign, highlighting some of the many social and economic benefits that cruising brings to communities globally.
“Cruise Month provides a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness about cruising and also gives us a chance to highlight the importance of booking through CLIA-accredited travel agents, who give travellers the confidence that comes from dealing with a highly trained and authoritative specialist,” said CLIA Australasia & Asia Managing Director Joel Katz.
Travel agents with a keen interest in cruise are invited to join CLIA and its cruise line members at ITB Asia on 18th October 2019 to hear the latest trends and tips in increasing cruise profits.
